Incident Details
In a tragic incident in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, four members of a family died by suspected suicide on Friday night. The incident took place in Tihar village, under the Khurai subdivision.

Victims Identified
The deceased have been identified as Manohar Lodhi (45), his mother Phoolrani (70), daughter Shivani (18), and son Aniket (16). The family lived in a house near their farmland. Manohar’s wife was reportedly at her maternal home during the time of the incident.

Discovery and Response
Manohar’s brother, Nandram Lodhi, who lives on the upper floor of the same house, heard vomiting sounds from downstairs. Upon checking, he found the four family members unwell and immediately informed relatives and the police. The victims were rushed to nearby hospitals with the help of villagers.

Medical Outcome
Phoolrani and Aniket were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Shivani passed away during treatment at Khurai Hospital, and Manohar died while being transported to the district hospital in Sagar.

Suicide Note and Investigation
Authorities recovered a suicide note from the scene. Police suspect the family consumed poison, but confirmation will come after post-mortem reports. ASP Lokesh Sinha stated, “This appears to be a case of suspected group suicide involving ingestion of a toxic substance. The suicide note is undergoing forensic and legal examination. All bodies are being sent for post-mortem.”
