Air India Chairman Confirms Crashed Boeing Dreamliner Had ‘Clean History’
Air India’s chairman, N. Chandrasekaran, has confirmed that the Boeing Dreamliner aircraft involved in the recent crash in Ahmedabad had a “clean history” and was well-maintained. He also stated that the aircraft’s engines were recently serviced, addressing growing speculation about possible technical faults.
Chandrasekaran, who also leads the airline’s parent company, Tata Group, spoke to The Economic Times and urged the public to avoid speculation until the investigation report is released.
“There are speculations about pilot error, airline responsibility, engine failure, and maintenance. But the aircraft involved — tail number AI-171 — had no prior issues,” he said.
Investigation Report May Take a Month
According to Chandrasekaran, the initial findings from aviation authorities are expected to take about a month. He stressed the importance of waiting for verified information before drawing any conclusions.
Air India Urges Patience Amid Rumors
While many theories about the cause of the crash are circulating, the airline has urged passengers and the public to wait for official updates. Air India is fully cooperating with authorities to determine the exact reason behind the tragic incident.
